This piece came from wanting to explore something more abstract without completely losing the realism and structure I naturally tend to work towards.

I liked the contradiction between the recognisable form and the way the paint begins to distort and break it apart. The reflections, movement and drips became just as important as the object itself, sitting somewhere between still life and abstraction without fully committing to either.
