This drawing was the first that had my fully invested, with no room for artistic interpretation of pattern. It had to be precise. 

I liked the way the reflections distorted and broke apart across the surface, especially against the softer background shapes underneath. The whole piece ended up somewhere between realism and abstraction, which was probably why I kept working on it long after it should have been finished.
